Katie experienced clinical death at age 4-5 after choking on a cashew nut. She turned blue, passed out, and was pronounced dead by her grandfather (a firefighter) after five minutes without vital signs. During this time, she had an out-of-body experience where she rose above her body and observed her grandfather attempting resuscitation.
