Kelly experienced heart problems when vagal nerve was affected during surgery, causing heart to stop during deep sleep. Over three consecutive nights (May 5-7, 1995), she had repeated NDEs. She felt being dragged down under the hospital bed into darkness. She heard swooping wing sounds and saw herself 12 inches above her body.
A dark being with red eyes and large wings that engulfed the room appeared at her feet. The being said "We need you and the powers that you have." Kelly refused, saying she had two young children and no power would take her from them. She fought the pulling sensation with all her strength until a nurse woke her yelling her name. This occurred identically three nights in a row. The experience transformed her from strict Irish Roman Catholic to Wiccan High Priestess. She reports gaining abilities to see auras and feel changes around her. Though negative, the experience made positive changes in her life and those around her. No veridical observations beyond seeing her body. The experience was primarily a spiritual battle with a dark entity. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: The experience could be interpreted as spiritual warfare with a demonic entity, which aligns with biblical accounts of evil spirits.
