While Sharon's encounter with Jesus (Jeshua) initially appears positive, the overall experience and its aftermath are fundamentally incompatible with biblical Christianity. Her understanding that she could choose not to reincarnate directly contradicts the biblical teaching of one life followed by judgment (Hebrews 9:27). The concept of having unfinished soul missions across multiple lifetimes opposes the biblical understanding of salvation by grace through faith in Christ's finished work.
Most concerning is her claim that Jeshua taught her practices explicitly forbidden in Scripture. The Bible strictly prohibits mediumship and communication with the dead (Leviticus 19:31, Deuteronomy 18:10-12), yet Sharon became a professional psychic medium claiming Jesus endorsed this. Past life therapy assumes reincarnation, which contradicts biblical anthropology. Her founding of the Kumara Academy (possibly referencing Sanat Kumara from Theosophy) to teach these practices leads others into spiritual deception. The Jesus of the Bible would never contradict His own Word by endorsing practices He previously condemned. This suggests Sharon encountered a deceiving spirit appearing as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) rather than the true Christ. Her work actively promotes New Age spirituality disguised with Christian terminology.
Nine-year-old Sharon Sananda was searching for agates in her grandparents' vineyard when a distant relative who had been repeatedly abusing her appeared. As she tried to escape, he attacked her physically, hitting her so hard under her ribs that her consciousness immediately left her body through her head. The intense pain was instantly replaced by immense peace as she found herself floating in what she later learned was called "the void" - a space of dark that was not dark, nothingness and everythingness simultaneously.
In this expanded state of consciousness, Sharon no longer felt like a little girl but was connected to everything that exists. She could move her awareness anywhere with just a thought and heard/felt a symphony of tones that comprised everyone and everything that has existed, exists, or will exist. She was both surrounded by and filled with this cosmic music, with each note representing all of existence. A light approached from her right, revealing itself as Jesus Christ (Yeshua/Jeshua). Jeshua embraced her and said, "You've suffered enough, my child. You don't need to go back." Despite this offer, Sharon chose to return because she hadn't finished what she was meant to do and didn't want to reincarnate and start over. After agreeing to her return, she found herself back at her grandparents' house with no immediate memory of the experience. The memory remained veiled until her second NDE in 2001 when a shuttle bus wheel ran over her head. During the second NDE, she met her deceased stepfather and Jeshua again, who reminded her it wasn't her time and she had things to do. This experience unlocked the memory of her childhood NDE. Following these experiences, Sharon developed abilities as a psychic medium, founded the Kumara Academy of Transformation, and dedicated her life to teaching psychic development, mediumship, out-of-body travel, and past life therapy - practices she says Jeshua taught her to help people remember who they really are. |
