This experience contains significant elements that contradict biblical theology, placing it in the low compatibility category. While the miraculous healing of the liver could align with divine healing in Scripture, and the encounter with a spiritual being who clarifies he is not Jesus shows some discernment, several core elements directly oppose biblical teaching. The concept of "karmic carryover" explicitly introduces Hindu/Buddhist reincarnation theology, which contradicts Hebrews 9:27 about dying once then facing judgment. The reference to God as "god force" depersonalizes the biblical God who is portrayed as a personal being with whom we can have relationship.
Most problematically, the assertion that all beings return to the same place regardless of their earthly actions, whether "murderer or nun," directly contradicts numerous biblical passages about judgment, heaven, and hell. This universal salvation regardless of moral choices or faith opposes Christ's teachings about the narrow way and broad way leading to different destinations (Matthew 7:13-14), the separation of sheep and goats (Matthew 25:31-46), and the necessity of faith in Christ for salvation (John 14:6). While the experience brought healing and spiritual sensitivity, these benefits do not validate the theological messages received. The promise of continuous otherworldly communication also raises concerns about mediumship, which Scripture forbids (Deuteronomy 18:10-12).
Ms. C, at age 8, was hospitalized for blood in her urine and underwent a kidney biopsy. During the procedure, her portal vein was inadvertently punctured. Despite strict warnings to limit activity after discharge, she went tree climbing at home. Two days later, she awoke in a pool of blood from internal hemorrhaging. Following readmission, she received multiple blood transfusions which transmitted hepatitis virus, causing rapid deterioration with severe liver distension and jaundice. Her condition became so critical that she was designated "no code" for resuscitation.
One night, after telling her mother "I'm gonna go," Ms. C left her body again. She saw and knew to head for a tunnel, feeling unexpectedly comforted in its darkness despite her normal fear of the dark. At the tunnel's end she encountered a brilliant light she now describes as the "god force." Beyond the tunnel, she met a being in a burlap robe who, when asked if he was Jesus, said he was not but was there to assist her. They discussed how death is a choice and she could decide whether to stay or return to her body. During this conversation, Ms. C could look back through the tunnel and see her mother in the hospital, experiencing her mother's emotions directly. The being explained her liver could be "fixed" but her kidneys would not be repaired as they were a "karmic carryover" destined to remain. She discussed her life path with this being, promising to become a nurse and later gather and share information with others. In return, she was assured continuous communication with "the other side" and that all beings, regardless of their earthly actions, return to this same place at death. Upon awakening, Ms. C immediately noticed her distended abdomen had returned to normal - her liver had been healed. Medical staff were amazed by her unexpected recovery and could not explain it. Her mother was questioned if someone had "given her something." Laboratory tests the next day found no hepatitis antibodies, and years later tests still showed no antibodies despite the documented infection. The experience left her with enhanced spiritual communication abilities described as even clearer and more believable than after her first NDE. |
