A ten-year-old girl living in an 1800s farmhouse with minimal heating experienced death from hypothermia while sleeping in her bed. The house had only one functioning furnace, leaving her room dangerously cold. Upon dying, she felt herself falling backward into blackness before sitting up out of her body and standing facing away from it. She noticed enhanced perception with saturated colors appearing more vivid and beautiful than normal.
The girl exhibited remarkable veridical observations during her out-of-body state. She traveled through the house observing family members and perceived colored auras around them - orange and white around her mother, initially dim colors around her father that brightened after she hugged him. She heard her mother's inner thoughts about cooking and watching TV without seeing her lips move. When observing her father milking cows in the barn, she witnessed his sad thoughts, gave him a hug that improved his mood, and saw him look around saying her name as if sensing her presence. During the experience, she explored beyond the house, examining sparkly snow at a particle level and traveling to the moon where she encountered three large luminous beings made of white flowing light. These beings showed her a life review through an ethereal river containing different life situations, allowing her to experience emotions from multiple perspectives including people and animals she had affected. She learned about past lives, karma, and planned two specific future events with the beings' help. The experience concluded when a being explained she needed to touch her body to reenter it. Upon doing so, she felt pulled into cold blackness before awakening in her severely hypothermic body. She immediately went downstairs to warm up by the furnace. Her father believed her account and subsequently installed three additional furnaces to prevent future incidents. |
