The grandmother's spiritual sensitivity to the child's presence could reflect the communion of saints or spiritual discernment mentioned in scripture. The miraculous lack of brain damage despite severe head trauma could indicate divine protection.
However, the ongoing visitations from "beings of light" delivering messages raise serious biblical red flags. The Bible warns that Satan can appear as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14) and commands testing of spirits (1 John 4:1). The experiencer's fear and desire to hide from these beings suggests they may not be from God, as holy encounters typically bring peace after initial fear. The continuing out-of-body experiences with sleep paralysis could indicate spiritual oppression rather than divine gifting. During a childhood game of follow-the-leader involving bicycle jumps over a manhole cover, the experiencer flipped over and landed on their head. They immediately left their body and observed themselves on the ground, feeling no pain but experiencing panic from not understanding what was happening. Instantly, they went to the second story of their house and tried to get their grandmother's attention through the window.
It was peculiar because when trying to get her attention, the grandmother looked directly at them but seemed not to see them. Then, as if she somehow heard them despite not seeing them, she went outside and discovered the child on the ground. Once the grandmother saw the injured child, the experiencer instantly returned to their body. At the hospital, doctors found only two black eyes with no brain damage, which they considered remarkable given the severity of the impact. Since this NDE, the experiencer has seen beings of light who visit and tell them "odd things." They try to hide from these beings who appear suddenly, attempting to ignore them and the messages they bring. The experiencer fears being thought crazy if they share what these beings tell them. Additionally, they've had ongoing out-of-body experiences where they see themselves sleeping, return to their body, wake up but cannot move for 1-2 minutes, feeling like they're screaming but producing no sound. These episodes represent a continuation of the consciousness alterations that began with the childhood NDE. |
