channeling entity called "They"
While this NDE began with biblical-compatible elements - the beautiful white light suggesting divine presence, the peaceful and loving nature matching God's character, and a life review consistent with biblical accountability - the ultimate outcome directly contradicts Scripture. The experiencer's development of channeling abilities eleven years later, specifically receiving messages from an entity called "They," constitutes mediumship/spiritism which the Bible explicitly forbids.
Scripture strongly condemns channeling and communication with spirits in passages like Leviticus 19:31, Deuteronomy 18:10-12, and Isaiah 8:19. The Bible teaches that such practices open doors to deception from evil spirits masquerading as benevolent beings (2 Corinthians 11:14). Even if the messages seem helpful or hopeful, the practice itself violates God's commands about spiritual communication, which should come through the Holy Spirit, Scripture, and prayer to God alone. The delayed manifestation of these abilities as a "gift" is particularly concerning, as it suggests the NDE may have opened spiritual doors that led to occult involvement. This account serves as a warning about how initially positive spiritual experiences can lead to unbiblical practices.
On August 5, 2000, at approximately 9 AM, the experiencer was driving to a counseling appointment after running errands. While proceeding through an intersection with a green light, another driver crashed into the driver's door with tremendous force. The impact sent the car sliding sideways through the intersection, onto the sidewalk, and around a power pole that struck the right rear door, folding the car in half. The experiencer sustained injuries to both sides of the head - an open injury on the right and closed injury on the left.
A witness cut the lap seatbelt to free them from the wreckage. Fire department and paramedics arrived quickly. A paramedic climbed into the passenger seat, applied a cervical collar, and noticed blood from the head wound. The Jaws of Life were used to extract them from the vehicle. When the gurney bumped against the ambulance, everything disappeared and the experiencer entered an altered state. They were engulfed in a beautiful, peaceful, and loving white light for approximately 7.5 hours. During this time, they received a life review and were told they would be given a gift "after a while." Meanwhile, their body was transported to the hospital where a trauma surgeon decided to operate in the trauma room rather than moving them to an OR. The experiencer regained consciousness hearing the surgeon saying "Don't worry you are going to hear some noise" before placing three staples in their head. After hospitalization and physical therapy, a remarkable transformation occurred in 2011 - eleven years post-NDE. They developed the ability to channel messages from an entity called "They," bringing hope and guidance to many who sought answers. This delayed manifestation of psychic abilities represents the "gift" promised during the NDE. |
