This experience directly contradicts fundamental biblical doctrine despite the encounter with Jesus. While positive elements include meeting Jesus Christ, experiencing divine light, and receiving a life mission, the core message fundamentally opposes Scripture. The claim that "there is no hell" directly contradicts Jesus' own extensive teachings about hell found throughout the Gospels, including Matthew 25:46 describing "eternal punishment," Mark 9:43-48 warning about unquenchable fire, and Luke 16:19-31 depicting the rich man's torment. Jesus spoke more about hell than heaven, making this revelation incompatible with His biblical teachings.
The universal salvation message that "we all go home" contradicts numerous biblical passages requiring faith in Christ for salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, John 3:36). Scripture clearly teaches that not all are saved - Matthew 7:13-14 describes the narrow gate and few who find it, while 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 warns of eternal destruction for those who don't know God. A man was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle and died on the operating table during emergency surgery. He experienced passing through darkness into a soft bluish light where an entity he identified as Jesus was both part of the light and a doorway. Though not in his physical body, he felt completely normal in his spiritual form. Communication occurred without spoken words, directly between their beings, while joy enveloped him entirely. Jesus acknowledged his pain and situation, stating "I know it hurts and I know it is bad. You have not done what you said you would do and must go back." Despite the experiencer's refusal and desire to remain, Jesus insisted he must return, saying "You will come here, just not now...not yet. I am sorry." The experience ended with his return to the operating table, hearing medical staff say "We got him" followed by "Oh my God he is awake." The NDE produced complete life transformation. He became an ordained minister and now preaches with a specific message revealed during his experience: there is no hell and everyone returns home to the divine. This universal salvation message forms the core of his ministry and spiritual understanding. The experience eliminated his fear of death and gave him absolute certainty about the afterlife's peaceful nature. He knows a divine presence awaits all beings with only happiness, bliss, and reunion with loved ones - no pain, suffering, or hatred exists there. The encounter left him profoundly transformed from who he was before to becoming a minister spreading the message of universal divine acceptance. |
