This childhood near-death experience presents a complex mixture of potentially biblical and clearly problematic elements. The positive aspects include the golden staircase with divine light, which could represent Jacob's ladder (Genesis 28:12) or the ascending path to God's presence. The booming voice of authority suggests divine intervention, and the overwhelming desire to reach "home" at the top of the stairs reflects the biblical concept of heaven as our true home (Philippians 3:20). The remarkable verification of seeing Earth from space ten years before such images existed could indicate genuine supernatural revelation.
However, numerous post-NDE effects raise serious biblical concerns. The six-month period of contact with her deceased father directly contradicts biblical teaching against communicating with the dead (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, 1 Samuel 28). Becoming a Reiki Master involves channeling spiritual energy through occult practices that the Bible forbids. The ability to communicate with animals and insects, while reminiscent of Eden, more likely represents new age animistic beliefs. Prophetic dreams could be biblical if from God, but in the context of other occult practices, they're concerning. The watch malfunctions and electronic interference, while possibly natural electromagnetic sensitivity, are often associated with occult involvement. Most troublingly, living "only to know God" while simultaneously practicing Reiki and mediumship represents a syncretistic mixing of Christianity with forbidden spiritual practices. While the initial childhood experience may have been a genuine divine encounter meant to prepare her for her father's death, the subsequent embrace of occult practices represents a serious departure from biblical faith.
At age four and a half, during tonsillectomy surgery, a hemorrhage occurred that nearly proved fatal. The child saw a brilliant warm white light during the procedure and awoke surrounded by worried parents who said "We almost lost you." She received three blood transfusions and spent two weeks hospitalized. A month later, discovering her neighbor's kitten Snowball dead, her mother's explanation of death sparked profound questions about consciousness and existence that her four-year-old mind grappled with - understanding bodies die but wondering what happens to thoughts and essence.
That night, while rubbing her eyes in bed and contemplating mortality, she suddenly shot out through the top of her head into inky blackness. Her consciousness, feeling cloud-like without defined form, floated in pitch darkness yet felt no fear. Looking down and to the left, she observed Earth as a large blue ball slowly rotating, seeing sunlight on blue water and brown soil with white clouds floating overhead. She recognized it as Earth but felt completely detached, having no emotional ties or urge to return to that beautiful, peaceful blue sphere below. After timeless observation, she became aware of something above and to the right - a magnificent golden staircase backlit by spectacular warm golden-white light beyond description. The stairs featured intricate golden carvings visible even from a distance. Forming the thought to approach triggered movement toward the stairs, accelerating as she drew closer. Reaching out with tingling anticipation to touch the bottom stair, she heard a booming male voice declare: "You are not supposed to remember this!" Instantly, she was back in her bedroom, crying desperately to return to that beautiful staircase, knowing that reaching the top would mean being "home." She kept this secret for years until 1969 when Apollo moon photographs validated her vision - she had seen these exact Earth images ten years before they existed. The experience left lasting effects: sensitivity to noise, violence and light; subnormal body temperature; violent medication reactions; unexplained anaphylaxis; watches malfunctioning or running only when worn; computers dropping offline in her presence; prophetic abilities including dreaming of her father's death two days before it occurred; six months of contact with her deceased father; ability to communicate with animals and insects; and Reiki healing abilities. She describes feeling "not of this world" and living only to know God, yearning to return "back home" to that golden staircase. |
