This childhood NDE contains biblical elements including passage through a tunnel toward divine light, arrival in an otherworldly realm with a celestial city, and heightened spiritual awareness. The architectural description of a city with unique buildings could parallel the biblical New Jerusalem with its distinctive architecture. The supernatural blue light and the sense of this realm being "more real" than Earth aligns with descriptions of heaven's superiority to earthly existence. The intuitive knowledge gained and the lasting spiritual impact mirror biblical transformation after divine encounters.
However, the experience includes explicitly non-biblical elements that contradict core Christian doctrine. The person's certainty that he had "lived there before" and "lived many times" directly contradicts the biblical teaching of Hebrews 9:27 that humans die once and then face judgment. His embrace of reincarnation philosophy fundamentally opposes the biblical understanding of human existence, death, and eternal destiny. The feeling of having a "dwelling" in that world from a previous existence suggests pre-mortal life in a reincarnation cycle rather than biblical creation. Bartosz had a near-death experience at age 3 in 1992 when he was electrocuted after electrical fuses went off. He experienced clinical death with cessation of breathing or heart function and was dead for a few minutes before his brother pulled him away and his father performed resuscitation. This is his very first memory of life, sharper than any other memory, despite being only 3 years old.
During the experience, he found himself involuntarily moving through a tunnel toward a blue light of a shade that doesn't exist on Earth - very light, bright but not blinding, warmer than any other color. When he reached the end of the tunnel, the blue became sky and he found himself in a cave on a mountain overlooking a valley below. In the valley, he saw a city with buildings of various sizes, each with a square base topped with domes covered with high cone-shaped antennas. The other world felt more real and sharper than our daily world, with greater presence and awareness. He had intuitive knowledge about everything around him, including knowing where his dwelling was located in that world. He felt the vastness of this world, its evil and goodness. He was certain he had lived there before and that his consciousness had come back home. The primary observation was the detailed city architecture with specific building designs unlike anything on Earth - square bases with domes and cone-shaped antennas. He also saw the lips of a woman who was likely talking to him. When leaving the tunnel, his perception became more complex with intuition and knowledge that was sharper than earthly experience. The experience led him to lean toward philosophy of reincarnation, believing he had lived many times before. He has had visions and enhanced intuition since the experience. People often don't believe such detailed memories could come from age 3, but he maintains this memory is more vivid than present time. |
