This experience contains predominantly non-biblical elements that raise significant theological concerns. The central figure is a "beautiful Goddess" seated on a throne with an owl companion - imagery strongly associated with pagan deities like Athena/Minerva rather than the biblical God. The pyramid setting with torches and stone altar evokes ancient mystery religions and occult temple practices rather than biblical heavenly imagery. The concept of a mystical sword that solves problems through special power resembles occult tools more than the biblical "sword of the Spirit" which represents God's Word (Ephesians 6:17).
The positive elements are limited but include the transformative effect leading Johnny to help others, which aligns with biblical calls to serve. The beautiful paradise-like meadow could loosely connect to biblical paradise imagery. However, the absence of any Christian elements - no mention of God, Jesus, angels, or biblical figures - combined with explicitly pagan imagery makes this incompatible with orthodox Christian theology. The goddess giving a magical problem-solving sword contradicts biblical teaching that wisdom and solutions come from God through prayer and Scripture, not through mystical objects. Johnny (Vik) was 18 years old when he slipped on a wet train platform while running to catch a train on November 13, 1981. He fell onto the rails and was knocked unconscious. During his unconscious state, he traveled through a tunnel of light consisting of billions of stars and arrived at a meadow he calls "my Paradise" with colors that don't exist on Earth. The meadow was unimaginably beautiful with dandelions. He saw a sparkling river reflecting sunlight like silver, seven figures of different heights, and a pyramid in the distance.
Drawn to the pyramid, he climbed 100 steps to the top where he found a dark room lit by wall torches. To his left was a stone altar with a giant sword. A beautiful Goddess sat on a throne with an owl whose radiantly shining eyes stared at him. The Goddess told him the sword was a gift - not for fighting but for finding solutions to the largest problems. When Johnny said he was only 18 and couldn't lift it, she said he would always be welcome to return and take it when ready. After saying goodbye, he instantly returned to the riverbank with the figures, waved goodbye, and traveled back through the starry universe. He woke hearing "he is back again" three times (under train, in ambulance, on operating table) despite having the NDE only once. He woke in the hospital as a "cripple" but was discharged after 5 days. Remarkably, 10 days post-accident he was playing soccer, badminton, and volleyball again. Johnny waited 30 years before sharing his experience. He eventually "fetched the sword" and now uses it to help others struggling in life. The experience taught him about vulnerability, strength, and his purpose to help others. |
