Nine-year-old Constanza was struck by a car while crossing the street outside her school on October 31, 2003. She had stopped to observe an unusual solar phenomenon - a dark circle blocking the sun above the school exit - when time seemed to slow down around her. During the impact, Constanza experienced a profound near-death experience. She found herself trapped in a black space with her spirit falling back into her body. She saw a dark tunnel with a light at the end that was both cold and warm simultaneously, emanating peace. Throughout the experience, she was conscious of everything happening and repeatedly asked God not to let her go, insisting it was not her time yet. She thought of her mother and felt both peace and despair as her soul fell back into her physical form. The most significant aspect was her awareness of falling from the tunnel back into her body while maintaining consciousness throughout. She kept repeating mentally "This can't be true" before opening her eyes and feeling like she had returned to life. She knew something profound had changed her life forever. The experience included a sense of divine protection, as she felt another presence had saved her during the impact, consistent with earlier childhood experiences of seeing protective spirits. Constanza sustained serious injuries including an exposed fracture requiring surgical pins after a month of unsuccessful healing attempts. The experience triggered lasting changes including hearing loss, a hypothalamic lesion, vestibular disorder, and post-traumatic stress. Years later, she experienced a spiritual awakening with developed mediumship abilities, prophetic dreams, and visions.
