Drug-induced experience, consciousness as proper form
This drug-induced experience is fundamentally incompatible with biblical teaching. The NDE resulted from sinful behavior (illegal drug use) explicitly condemned in scripture as pharmakeia/sorcery (Galatians 5:20). The "cosmic knowledge" that seemed simple and obvious but couldn't be retained resembles demonic deception offering false enlightenment. The later confirmation through ketamine (another illicit drug) demonstrates ongoing rebellion against God through substance abuse to achieve spiritual experiences - a practice God forbids. The belief that human bodies are "challenging and unnatural" while "consciousness alone" is proper directly contradicts biblical teaching that God created our bodies good (Genesis 1:31) and they are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Moving from undefined spirituality to believing in universal consciousness without God reflects New Age deception. The absence of moral conviction, repentance, divine encounter, or redemptive message, combined with the sinful means and anti-biblical conclusions (body rejection, consciousness worship), clearly indicates this experience was not from God but demonic deception through pharmakeia. The experience glorifies drug use as a path to enlightenment, directly opposing biblical warnings against sorcery and intoxication.
Christopher, a former heroin addict who had recovered but still used occasionally, injected a recreational dose at his brother's flat. He immediately found himself out of body in a vast black space that was paradoxically both pitch black and brightly lit. His eyes then sprang open on the sofa, gasping for breath, with his brother about to call emergency services after Christopher had stopped breathing for approximately three minutes with blue lips and face. He exclaimed he had something amazing to share but couldn't recall the cosmic knowledge upon returning. Four years later, a ketamine experience returned him to the same space with identical realizations, confirming the reality of the realm. Post-NDE, he gained profound life appreciation, moved to nature, lost fear of death, and believes consciousness is humanity's proper form.
