The positive elements include the profound love experienced, which could reflect God's love (1 John 4:8), and the sense of returning home, reminiscent of the prodigal son (Luke 15:20). The awareness of unseen presences could represent angels who minister to humans (Hebrews 1:14). The sacrificial decision to return for others shows Christ-like love. However, deeply concerning elements dominate this experience. The concept of a pre-birth mission or agreement directly contradicts biblical teaching that God forms us in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5) without our pre-existent participation. Scripture teaches we are created, not pre-existent souls making contracts (Genesis 2:7). The idea of being a 'warrior meant to assist needed change' without reference to God's will or Christ's lordship suggests self-directed spirituality rather than biblical submission to God. The complete absence of God, Jesus, judgment, heaven, or hell in such an extensive experience is troubling. The void described as home contradicts biblical descriptions of our eternal home with God in light, not darkness (Revelation 21:23). The post-experience focus on nature, art, and meditation rather than God, Scripture, or Christian fellowship suggests new age spirituality. Her intuitive abilities and heightened senses without spiritual discernment through the Holy Spirit raise concerns about the source of these changes.
A woman six and a half months pregnant with placenta previa experienced a massive hemorrhage at home. After calling 911, she lost consciousness multiple times. She divorced her husband three years later, had a relationship with a man she'd always loved, and continues searching for her purpose. The experience brought lasting changes including difficulty with superficial people, compassion despite being walked on, trouble focusing on money-driven work, constant need for solitude, and getting lost in nature, art, music, and meditation.
