While the NDE contains some biblical elements like the tunnel, divine light, and telepathic communication with an all-knowing presence, several aspects diverge significantly from biblical teaching. The prophetic dream from a deceased uncle, while it came true, represents communication with the dead which is prohibited in scripture (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). The mysterious woman who appeared and exited through the wall before the medical crisis could be interpreted various ways but her nature is unclear. The development of mediumistic abilities afterward, receiving messages from dead people to pass to the living, directly contradicts biblical prohibitions against necromancy and mediumship. The experiencer's belief in reincarnation conflicts with biblical teaching about resurrection and judgment. While the core NDE experience of approaching divine light and choosing to return has biblical parallels, the surrounding elements of spirit communication, the paranormal visitor, and especially the post-NDE mediumistic activities place this experience in opposition to biblical Christianity. The all-knowing light could represent God, but the overall context suggests a non-Christian spiritual framework.
At age 13, Jala had a prophetic dream where her deceased uncle warned her she would be in an accident around age 16 but would survive when everyone thought she would die. Four days after turning 17, her horse accident resulted in fractures of both femurs and right fibula. She developed fat embolism with bilateral lung involvement, kidney failure, and congestive heart failure with arterial saturation at 28%. A mysterious woman in white appeared in her room, apologized for taking too long, asked about her mother, then exited through the wall. Shortly after, a doctor was found and code blue was called. During her NDE, Jala saw light coming through the window and knew it was coming for her. She found herself traveling at extreme speed down a long tunnel with a presence beside her. The light knew her every thought telepathically. She could only know what she was supposed to know. At the tunnel's end was a pinhole of light that grew larger as she approached. She was told telepathically that if she crossed the threshold, she couldn't return. Using all her willpower, she said "No!" and returned. The experience validated her uncle's prophecy and led her to become a nurse and dedicate her life to rescuing animals.
