This experience diverges significantly from biblical Christianity in its theological implications and subsequent spiritual direction. While containing common NDE elements like out-of-body experience and entering a bright realm, the experiencer explicitly rejected Christian teachings about judgment and embraced pagan and alternative spiritual practices. The claim that "divine judgment doesn't exist" directly contradicts biblical doctrine about accountability before God. The post-NDE turn toward energy mastery, alternative healing, and pagan teachings represents a departure from Christian faith toward New Age spirituality. The development of psychic abilities and spirit communication also conflicts with biblical warnings about such practices. While the experience of love and peace could align with divine encounter, the overall framework and interpretation stand in opposition to biblical Christianity.
During an emergency C-section for breech presentation and pre-eclampsia, Judie experienced an accidental epidural injection into a vein. Her blood pressure dropped to 40/20 and she lost consciousness. As consciousness faded, she perceived a curtain of light descending and realized how dark our world generally is. She rose out of the darkness into a bright, peaceful, painless reality where a veil had been lifted making everything clear and vivid. Judie could sense the presence of others though she couldn't see them. She could see where she needed to go next but heard a voice saying it wasn't her time yet. Upon return, she felt angry about being brought back to the painful physical world until a nurse reminded her of her soon-to-be-born baby. During the experience, Judie observed the anesthesiologist grabbing reversal and pressor medications and was aware of the medical team's actions. The experience led her to embrace pagan and alternative spiritual teachings, completing energy mastery school and studying alternative healing. She gained empathic abilities and can hear spiritual voices. The experience taught her that divine judgment as taught in Christianity doesn't exist, only love and acceptance.
