This experience mixes strong biblical elements with clearly unbiblical concepts. The positive biblical aspects include direct encounter with God, divine prophecy that was fulfilled (six children), divine mission, unconditional love without judgment for suicide attempt, and lasting spiritual transformation. The encounter with God who spoke with authority and compassion aligns with biblical character of God. However, the experience includes highly problematic elements: reincarnation and past lives directly contradict Hebrews 9:27, seeing Buddha alongside God suggests religious pluralism incompatible with biblical exclusivity, and the notion of multiple lives opposes biblical teaching. The fulfilled prophecy suggests genuine supernatural encounter, but the theological framework includes beliefs fundamentally opposed to biblical Christianity. This represents a complex case where genuine divine encounter may be interpreted through non-biblical worldview.
Virginie attempted suicide by swallowing 120 pills with alcohol and experienced clinical death when her heart stopped. She left her body, rising to ceiling level and seeing herself in the intensive care room. She entered a tunnel that was initially dark then became lighter as she approached a white light. On the tunnel sides, she saw deceased family members who made fun of her, hearing soft sounds and seeing radiant, non-dazzling colors. Her deceased brother Philippe (died 12 years earlier of leukemia at age 7) took her hand, smiling while leading her to the light. A strong voice (she knew was God) asked why she wanted to die. She explained her grief over Philippe's death and her mother's resentment since she wasn't a compatible marrow donor. God told her to return to her family, that she would have six children, and had a mission to accomplish. Despite the unconditional love surrounding her and wanting to stay, she saw doctors reanimating her body and brutally returned through the top of her head. She also experienced visions of past lives - seeing herself hit by a car in 1929 and as a German soldier killed in 1944. She saw Buddha during the experience. Years later in 2015, she had another cardiac arrest and NDE where God again told her it wasn't time to join her loved ones.
