After hours of illness with confusion and disorientation, Aaron experienced severe stabbing chest pains and was led to bed. He saw a swirling portal with deep blue colors and crystals that grew until he was inside it, traveling through endless space filled with shooting star-like colors, planets, and galaxies. He crossed into a creamy white realm beyond the universe where time ceased to exist and he gained universal knowledge. He then fell into a dark void where he encountered a massive bull made of fire who gestured for him to follow. A voice said "Don't follow him" and he was lifted back to the white realm where thousands of voices explained he was energy returning home. They showed him his brain's workings, past lives as insects, and taught that the universe creates itself to learn through observation. Despite being told to let go and merge with the energy, he insisted on returning to his human life. He encountered a recently deceased woman he knew who confirmed the teachings. He jolted awake coughing up vomit. The experience profoundly changed his worldview from atheist to spiritual.
