While the out-of-body experience and awareness of impending death are documented in scripture, the specific manifestation raises questions. The silver cord mentioned could relate to Ecclesiastes 12:6, but the three elderly women suspended upside down pulling on it appears more occult than biblical. These beings do not present as angels or any biblical entities, and their behavior of trying to forcibly extract her spirit against her will contradicts biblical accounts where death comes according to God's sovereign will.
The traumatic and terrifying nature of the experience, resulting in death phobia and anxiety attacks, differs markedly from biblical encounters with divine messengers which, while initially frightening, typically bring peace and reassurance. The beings' appearance (upside down, defying gravity) and method of communication (telepathic) align more with occult or spiritualist accounts than biblical narratives. The experiencer's later development of premonitory dreams and psychic abilities further suggests non-biblical spiritual influences. While God can certainly preserve someone from death, this particular experience lacks the hallmarks of divine intervention and instead presents characteristics more consistent with spiritual deception or attack.
In 1985, while living in Algeria, 20-year-old Lauren experienced a severe throat condition that progressively worsened overnight, making it difficult to swallow and breathe. After a restless night of pain, she tried to call for her mother upon waking but collapsed, losing consciousness. Initially everything went black, though she could hear her mother directing her brothers to move her to the living room.
When she regained partial awareness, she discovered she was having an out-of-body experience, sitting partially outside her physical body - her upper body was outside while her lower body remained inside her physical form. She observed herself lying on the floor, completely blue with open eyes as if dead, causing her to panic. She witnessed her mother's hand pass through her spiritual chest when trying to touch her physical body. The most remarkable aspect was seeing a thick silvery-white rope emerging from between her lungs, extending through the window to three elderly women (approximately 60-65 years old) who were suspended upside down in the air, pulling on the rope. Through telepathic communication, they told her "It's time," but she resisted desperately, citing her youth, unmarried status, lack of children, and her family's need for her. She engaged in a spiritual tug-of-war with these beings until they finally released the rope. Upon their release, she violently snapped back into her body, immediately reintegrating and regaining full consciousness. The experience left her traumatized for years, causing death phobia and anxiety attacks for months. She later had another similar experience 20 years later during a surgery that went badly, encountering the same women again. |
