This experience contains both biblical and problematic elements. The angelic encounter with the elderly woman aligns with Hebrews 13:2 about entertaining angels unaware. The vision of heaven with its cathedral-like structure and divine presence resonates with Revelation's descriptions of heavenly realms. The observation of spiritual beings working alongside doctors could represent angels as ministering spirits (Hebrews 1:14). The surgeon's acknowledgment that "God was on their side" suggests divine intervention in healing.
However, significant concerns arise from Deborah's identity as a "working Medium or Spirit Communicator," which directly violates biblical prohibitions against mediumship (Leviticus 19:31, Deuteronomy 18:10-12). Her Spiritualist beliefs and practice of communicating with the dead contradict Scripture's teachings. While the NDE itself contains valid spiritual elements and produced positive changes, her interpretation through a Spiritualist framework and continued practice as a medium represents a serious departure from biblical Christianity. The experience of legitimate spiritual reality has unfortunately been channeled into unbiblical practices.
Deborah, a spiritual medium, experienced a ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm after severe abdominal pain. In the emergency room, she saw an elderly woman in a hospital gown sitting on a cement bench, staring at her while she screamed for help. The woman never moved or responded, just stared with memorable eyes before walking away. Her daughter later confirmed no such woman or bench existed in the emergency room. Deborah realized this was an angel sent to help her through the pain. Medical staff reported losing her 2-3 times during the emergency.
After floating upward and forward, Deborah found herself moving through magnificent columns of undulating soft pastel colors with underlying music she described as the vibration of color. She felt she was heading toward a sun with perfect temperature, realizing she was in Heaven. She entered a cathedral-like structure where she found her mother, who had died four years earlier, sitting on a settee in flowing white gauze clothing. Her mother's deep sadness was palpable - she was watching Deborah's surgery in an adjacent glowing white hall. Deborah saw herself on an operating table surrounded by seven doctors working on her heart. Crucially, she observed four highly ascended healers in ancient robes working closely with the doctors. Two healers stood behind the three doctors on each side. These beings wore deep purple and green undulating gowns with deep red and gold miters like papal headdresses, representing different ancient traditions. They were guiding the surgery, and Deborah felt the doctors relax and congratulate each other as the operation progressed. She tried to tell them to stop but was held back by a powerful, loving energy. After being sent back against her will, Deborah experienced a lengthy recovery with lasting effects including one working kidney and purple vision in her right eye. Two years later, she found healing through an NDE support group, where another experiencer advised her to "choose life" and "reach up and grab a piece" of the other reality when struggling. |
