This experience includes biblical elements such as out-of-body experience, receiving supernatural knowledge, and divine protection through remarkable synchronicities. The voice providing comfort and insight could represent angelic intervention. However, the interpretation diverges significantly from biblical truth. The teaching that accidents and suffering are "not happening" and are "only dreams" contradicts biblical reality of suffering in a fallen world. The idea that "only love is real" while denying the reality of evil and suffering reflects New Age philosophy rather than biblical theology. Her later meditation practices seeking to merge with an inner sun/light and experiences of becoming "the sun" with everyone else there suggest Eastern mysticism and pantheistic beliefs. The concept that we can dismiss suffering by "waking up from dreams" denies the biblical need for salvation through Christ. While God's providential care is evident in the synchronicities, the interpretive framework applied to the experience leads away from biblical truth toward illusory thinking that denies the reality of sin, suffering, and the need for redemption.
Enocia was hit by a car while crossing the road on her way to school in 1976. Time seemed to slow down as she fell, and she could see car wheels coming toward her head but they stopped just in time. She then felt herself leave her body, experiencing being everywhere at once. She heard a voice in her head saying "It's not happening. It's all a dream!" before returning to her body feeling embarrassed and crying. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital, excited about the ambulance ride despite her injuries. At the hospital, she had cuts above her right eyebrow and bruises on her knees and thighs. The medical staff gave her unusual attention because the driver who hit her was a sister (nurse) who worked at that hospital. The woman later visited Enocia at home with treats and turned out to be related to her cousin's boyfriend, making her essentially family, so no legal action was taken. The experience taught her that life is an opportunity to express and experience love, and that while accidents appear real, they are dreams we can wake from. Years later she understood the voice meant that only love is real and suffering is illusory. The synchronicities of the event - the ambulance being nearby, the driver working at the hospital, the family connection - demonstrated to her that Love was caring for her throughout. She later had experiences of merging with inner light during meditation and multiple near-miss incidents where she was mysteriously saved.
