This experience is fundamentally incompatible with biblical Christianity. Rather than encountering heaven, hell, or any biblical spiritual realm, the experiencer was transported into what she describes as another simultaneous life as a different person. This directly contradicts the biblical teaching of one life followed by judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Her interpretation that "the mind can be switched to play different lifetimes at the same time" reflects Hindu/Buddhist concepts of multiple incarnations completely foreign to biblical theology. The experience triggered a Kundalini awakening, a Hindu spiritual concept associated with serpent energy that many Christians view as occult. Her conclusion that all life is merely "projection of mind" and that the self is "the only truth" represents Eastern monistic philosophy contradicting the biblical God as ultimate reality. While she identifies as Hindu and the experience aligned with her existing beliefs, from a biblical perspective this represents deception rather than divine revelation. The absence of Christ, biblical figures, or recognizable biblical realms, combined with explicit reincarnation themes and Kundalini activation, makes this experience incompatible with Christian scripture.
In May 2005, Bon was working as an interior designer on the sixth floor of a building under construction in Mumbai. Due to dehydration from the heat and lack of fluids, she began feeling dizzy with dimming vision. As someone with a prosthetic right leg since age nine, she couldn't stand long and sat on an open windowsill to rest. She lost consciousness and fell backward out of the window. Miraculously, the apartment owner on the fifth floor happened to be by an open window and caught her natural leg as she fell past, holding her upside down with the engineer's help while her staff pulled her back in. During the approximately 20 minutes she was unconscious and her body was being rescued, Bon experienced being transported into another life entirely. She wasn't observing another person - she WAS that person, a young Indian girl lying in a four-poster bed. She saw her mother and elder brother (around 12 years old) standing together, having a serious but ordinary conversation. They were brown-skinned, middle-class Indians - completely different from her current family. She felt bored by their talk and closed her eyes. When she opened them again, she was back at the construction site with people splashing water on her face. She didn't recognize anyone or understand where she was, retaining only memories from the other life. For days afterward, she struggled to reconcile the two realities, with the other life feeling as real as this one. The experience initiated her Kundalini awakening and profound spiritual transformation. She realized that both lives seemed equally real while living them, leading to the understanding that all life is projection of mind and that the eternal "I" is the only truth.
