Experience contains all classic NDE elements including life review with moral reckoning. However, significant unbiblical elements include spirit communication with deceased (Marilyn Monroe), pantheistic theology ("We are God experiencing God"), New Age dimensional concepts, and rejection of biblical concepts of sin and Satan as external realities. The anti-religious stance and implied universalism conflict with biblical Christianity.
Sherry G suffered a near-fatal heart attack on February 13, 1997, following years of severe bulimia, anorexia, and methamphetamine abuse. She had been experiencing visits from deceased friends and Marilyn Monroe's spirit warning her before the NDE. During the experience, she left her body, traveled through a tunnel of light, and encountered powerful spirits including God. She underwent a life review where she experienced the pain she had caused others from their perspective. She was shown her future mission as a healer, speaker, and humanitarian who would become well-known helping women and children. Given the choice to stay or return with a second chance to complete her purpose, she chose to return. Post-NDE, she experienced dramatic physical changes including hair loss and 87-pound weight gain, temporary homelessness, but maintained mystical experiences and eventually fulfilled aspects of her shown mission.
