While containing some biblical elements (consciousness after death, heavenly realm, transformative truth), promotes pantheistic theology that humans are God ("we are he"). Emphasis on self-directed faith and humor rather than reverence contradicts biblical teaching about God's holiness and humanity's need for salvation.
Sherri fainted and hit head on frozen concrete in Canada, was unconscious over 10 minutes with beautiful smile on face. Found herself in complete darkness alone with no body but complete sense of self (humor, intelligence). Saw pinprick of colored light in distance, curiosity propelled her forward - the more curious, the faster she flew. Approached landscape of incredibly colorful flowers (colors never seen before), intoxicating scent, loud sweet music. Everything reached crescendo leading to stunning moment of light/clarity.
She understood "So that's what it's all about" and felt like throwing head back in belly laugh - the truth is incredibly funny and living. Woke to boyfriend giving CPR. Learned: Don't live in fear (stays stuck in void), maintain childlike wonder/curiosity (leads where you need to go), keep sense of humor (truth is funny). Believes if we're made in God's image, should put faith/love into ourselves as we are he and he is we. --- Biblical Summary --- Biblical elements: Consciousness surviving bodily death, journey toward light, beautiful otherworldly realm, revelation of truth, transformative understanding about life's meaning. Unbiblical elements: Pantheistic belief "we are he and he is we," suggesting humans are God. Truth being "funny" rather than holy. Self-directed faith rather than faith in God. |
